1st quarter dues and assesments are due on or before January 1, 2012.  Two separate checks are needed. The first is for dues and death assesments and the second is for the Defense fund. Dues for Mechanics are $440, Apprentices are $317 and for members layed off for 8 weeks or more during the last quarter $36. The Defense fund amount is $19. Checks for the Defense fund should be made out to IUEC Local 31 Defense Fund.  Members have the option of paying the full year Defence fund assessment in the amount of $76. All members must pay the defence fund assessment.  

The AFL/CIO is currently accepting applications for scholarship for current high school seniors. Contact the Hall for application paperwork. These scholarships are for seniors that will be graduating in May 2012.

All Health Benefit plan participants have or will be receiving a letter from Value Options. This letter is legitimate and this office is recommending that you participate in the offer provided. Value Options is the Health Benefit provider for mental health, substance abuse and other counseling needs including healthy lifestyle and financial education. Hitch covers are available at the Hall for $42.00 each. These are made in California by an IUEC member.

A new shipment of knives has arrived at the Hall. Knives are $15.00 each. They are 4" closed and 7" overall with a clip point blade with serrations at the base of the blade.

The Hall needs everyone to update their personal information. We need current personal phone numbers, not company phone numbers. With the upcoming contract negotiations, your current information will be very important. For members registered on this web site, check your profile to make sure your phone number is current as we will be text messaging information as appropriate.

All members with company vehicles are reminded that there should be no non-work related personal items in company vehicles. Remove those items as soon as possible.
