A big Texas thank you
to everyone who attended our 100th anniversary dinner including the
International Officers, Regional Directors, National Organizers, EIWPF, NEIEP,
Local 1 New York, Local 4 Boston, Local 18 Los Angeles, Local 21 Dallas, Local
25 Denver, Local 50 Toronto, Local 81 San Antonio, retirees, Local 31 members
and their guests. Special thanks to the
members of the 100th Anniversary Committee for a year of hard work
and an outstanding event. We would also like to thank the International and the
following Locals for their gifts; Local 1, Local 4, Local 8, Local21 and Local
50. These gifts will be proudly displayed in the Hall.

The current
contract expires on July 8, 2012. If you haven’t started putting money back,
start preparing today. July 8, 2012 will
arrive sooner than you think.
Work continues to
be slow in our area. Currently there are 51 Mechanics and 63 Apprentices on the
bench. There are no major construction projects on the horizon.
Congratulations to Brother Chad Hoffpauir
and wife, Katie, on the birth of their second son, Caleb. He joins older
brother Mason.
Our new Local 31
website is up and running. Check it often as it will have up-to-date

A run-off election
was held at the November 4th meeting. Congratulations to the winners
for the 2 Executive Board positions, Marcus Bell and Mike Kenny, the winners
for the 2 Central Body Delegates, Johnny Schultea and
Joe Kowis.
The Mechanics exam
was held on Tuesday November 16th. Congratulations to our 21 new
Mechanics.
